history

I am passionate about coffee, bird watching as well, and I love guiding tourists. I started as a part-time tour guide at Sipi Falls Resort, which was by then the Volcanoes Safaris Uganda Lodge in Sipi, which was in 2002.

During this time I met a couple from the UK and I took them for a Sipi Falls guided walk. Along our trail, we found a fully ripe coffee tree, full of red cherries.

The guests asked me a number of questions related to coffee. I told them how coffee is grown and processed locally. They picked interest and I took them for a coffee tour at my parent’s farm after the Sipi Falls hike.

They enjoyed the coffee tour a lot and bought some roasted coffee beans later.

Hence the genesis of coffee tours in the region.
